The Child Gang plies its trade in the Undercity under a dwarf known as Usta Kerim. Its members are youths — an orc among them, a tiefling, a Ejder, and an Elvish Woman — and their business is chiefly the pettier sort of crime, as they showed in falling upon a company of adventurers in a crowded alley, where they set to rob and cow their marks. The gang is a thing of its young members and of the coercive hand of Usta Kerim, who bends them to his unlawful purposes.
In the fray that followed, the gang closed about the party and came to blows. Usta Kerim set upon one of the adventurers whilst the orc and the tiefling threw themselves into the scuffle; but the adventurers in the end laid Usta Kerim low and fell to parley with the rest. The youths, once the fight was done, owned that they wished to be free of Usta Kerim's rule and to find some safer lodging — and the adventurers obliged them, arranging shelter and pressing gold upon them, that they might put Usta Kerim's influence behind them.
