In the shadowed deeps of the Undercity the figure called Ejder looms large, a menacing thing of draconic aspect that strikes fear into any who cross its path. Ejder runs with a notorious band of footpads, and favours a sling-like contrivance for casting flat stones at the unwary — a tactician's trick, loosed most often from behind some scrap of cover.
In one wild affray in a crowded alley, Ejder and its fellows — among them an Elvish Woman and an Orc Brute — closed about a party of adventurers. Of imposing stature, Ejder brandished a weapon of poor make and moved with purpose to flank and to overawe; and when it was threatened it pressed forward, demanding coin with a fierce resolve.
The matter came to a head when Ejder was caught by Jean-Zera Mongé's spell of Dissonant Whispers, and staggered back in pain. Seizing the moment, it caught up the cowering Elvish Woman and withdrew, crying out in a tongue much like the cant of thieves. This retreat, set beside its part in the earlier ambush, marks Ejder for a wary and a formidable adversary in the Undercity.
