These silver-tipped throwing knives are a set of thirty small blades, awarded to Sidra al-Najjar and Ahmet Yusuf for putting to rest a disturbance at a cemetery. Their tips are of silver — a metal that argues some particular virtue against certain creatures of the supernatural — and they are light enough in the hand to be thrown with ease.
It was Hannah who presented the knives, along with a silver yatagan and a sum of coin, once the trouble with the scavengers had been resolved. Sidra and Ahmet agreed to share the blades equally, fifteen to each — no small addition, by their reckoning, to the arms they carried.
