The Ouroboros necklace is an incomplete piece bearing a cultic significance. It was found by Rufus Dimitrious in a nest within a serpent's lair, together with ancient coins and a silver-owl-pin brooch. Of its design and its magical properties nothing is set down, yet its bond with cultic practice argues a deeper ritual weight.
Rufus Dimitrious and Jean-Zera Mongé weighed the several finds, and confirmed the necklace incomplete though it holds its cultic import still. Osman Hamdi Bey bought the necklace along with the other items for eighty silver pieces, a fair token of its worth.
