A soldier of East Asian countenance appears within a waterborne mirror, a fur cap upon his head and a bow strapped across his back. He is to be seen in a large mirror set just below the water's surface, looking up toward the party. When Gizem waved, the soldier took the bow from his back and watched with caution, offering no spoken word nor any sign through the water and the glass. Miray afterward likened his aspect to the warriors of the Mongol age. When Gizem tossed baklava toward the mirror, something thrashed below and briefly hid him from view before the water settled again.
