Mervhan is a half-orc of seven feet, his arms of a length uncommon even among his kind, so that he stands apart from the ordinary run of orcs and puts one in mind of some singular heritage. He is attached to Kore, a performer of the Undercity, whom he serves as an assistant, bearing food and drink to her patrons; a protective and accommodating figure, he sees to it that her guests are kept comfortable and undisturbed as he goes about her bidding.
At the Arraf Tavern he waited upon Gizem and her companions at Kore's call, proving himself reliable in the office, carrying food and drink to the guests and adding thereby to the house's welcoming air whilst showing his steady devotion to Kore and to those she entertains. Of late he directed Gizem Faruki to Kore, who remarked that Mervhan had never once set foot above the Undercity — a thing that speaks to how deeply his roots are sunk in that subterranean realm.
