The Table

Keeper's reference — the real table. The safety agreement that governs play, the campaign's logistics, and the roster. This is a working page, kept in plain modern English.

Every table runs on an agreement before it runs on dice. This page holds the ground rules the group plays by — what is out of bounds and what is drawn behind a veil — alongside the practical shape of the campaign.

Lines & Veils

The content boundaries the table has agreed on. Lines are hard limits — they do not appear at all. Veils may exist in the fiction but happen off-screen, undescribed.

  • No disparagement of real-world religions and cultures.
  • No proxies for modern politics — no overt, implied, or intentional representations of real-world modern (1950 or later) political parties.
  • Gore & body horror stays veiled — no excessive detail or glorification, especially of killing blows. Veiled / off-screen is fine.
  • Sexual assault — veiled; never depicted.

These are a living agreement — revisit them with the players as the campaign goes on, and honour any in-session "veil this" without question.

The Campaign

  • System — D&D 5e, Historica Arcanum: The City of Crescent
  • Setting — 1850s Constantinople, magical realism (the campaign's present is 1857)
  • Cadence — variable, roughly twice monthly on Sundays
  • Virtual tabletop — Alchemy
  • Record — sessions logged via Archivist; this wiki is generated from that record, corrected against transcripts, then re-voiced
