The wide triangular arrowhead is an artifact brought to light within a serpent's nest during the exploration of a cave. It is made to be fixed to a common crossbow bolt or arrow shaft, that it may be loosed as part of an ordinary attack; upon striking home it deals a further 1d10 of poison damage, and it may be recovered and used again once it has been fired.
Rufus Dimitrious first came upon the arrowhead as he descended into the serpent's hole, among eggs and other valuables, but chose to leave it behind together with a bronze goblet, carrying off only a necklace and several ancient coins. Later the arrowhead was identified by Rufus and Jean-Zera Mongé, who confirmed it fit for mounting and for the delivery of poison. In the end the poisoned arrowhead was kept by the party amongst their gathered relics.
