The Sword of Yakub Agha is a blade bound up with an attempt upon the life of the Ghost of March. The Ghost furnished a close description of it — a weapon much resembling one set on display at the Janissary headquarters — and asked that it be fetched, in the belief that it might serve to make peace with ARA.
The sword lay in the garden of a coastal manor fallen to ruin, the ground bearing the marks of old violence: scorch and pillage alike. Whilst the company searched, shadowy figures took shape amongst the wreckage — semi-corporeal Janissary soldiers, armed, and closing upon them.
