The handaxe +1 is an enchanted weapon given to Gizem by Hanno, a patron in the monster-hunting line, in acknowledgement of the party's success against the albasti. It is a bettered version of the common handaxe, though of its precise appearance and its further magical properties nothing is set down.
After the reckoning with the albasti, the party bore the creature's inert body to Hanno's establishment. He looked with favour upon their trophy and rewarded them with five-and-twenty gold pieces to be shared amongst them, and the handaxe besides for Gizem — a plain reminder of the worth set upon good hunting in that community.
