The burlap bag is a hanging sack of a coarse, burlap-like cloth that has not rotted with the years, being magical: it bears an abjuration by which it holds off age and decay, and so preserves whatever it contains. The bag was found suspended from the edge of a platform. Jean-Zera detected the magic upon it, tugged at it with a Mage Hand, and then hauled it up by its rope; opening it, he found within an old but wholly unspoiled hand drum. Both the bag and the drum the party kept.
