Ziya is a shadow operative known for her stealth and her keen eye, and instrumental in the consolidating of power for Kavalan. She is remarked for the notice she takes of small particulars. During the assault upon Yedikule Fortress, Ziya gave ranged fire in support whilst her companion Hamza closed to melee. She took part in the attack alongside Hamit and the rest, pressing on toward the Royal Cell to reach the decoy Vizier.
As the crew came up on the fortress, Ziya covered Hamza with bow and gunfire through the first clash at the outer barracks. She was in the thick of the fighting that broke out as they gained the prison level, where they met veteran fighters lying hidden in the guise of prisoners. Through the whole of the assault Ziya and her crew took wounds and drank down draught upon draught to keep themselves fit for the fight.
