Melek is a tiefling of infernal cast, complete with pointed horns and a tail, and possessed of a spellcaster's powers, which showed themselves in sundry castings through the several encounters. The tiefling keeps company with a band of adventurers that numbers Sidra al-Najjar, Jean-Zera Mongé, and Gizem Faruki.
In a passage within the Undercity Melek first loosed some unidentified spell to no visible effect, which argued a strategic intent; and afterward cast Spare the Dying to steady Jean-Zera Mongé, struck senseless, and followed it with Cure Wounds to bring him back to his wits. Such acts bespeak a readiness to aid their companions, and the tiefling took part besides in the talk that marks their place within the group. This part in the skirmish laid bare both the caster's commitment to the party and a spellcasting prowess that proved crucial to the company's survival amid its confrontations.
