The Folk of the City

Cyrus

Cyrus is a grey-bearded dwarf, a druid and a maker of beads, who keeps his trade at the Thieves Bazaar. He fashions beads both plain and enchanted, of glass and of painted ceramic, and works out of the Undercity, where he serves those in want of introductions and intelligence alike. His shop offers beads of every kind, the magical among them — Beads Of Force and Dispelling Beads — and he keeps besides a Necklace Of Prayer Beads of no small price.

His grey hair is braided at the back, and about his neck hangs a great string of beads worn like a gold chain, the badge of a man who is a pillar of his community. His opinions carry weight, though they do not always march with the broader mind of the druids; and he welcomed a visitor as "sister," a familiarity that betrayed his kinship with other druids. His connections may open a window upon the Ghost of March and upon the many aliases in play, so that his craft and his standing in the Undercity are alike of use to any who would find their way through its intricacies.

Asked where one might go in the Undercity, he commended the Styx Bathhouse for its comforts and its company, but would not be drawn into gossip.
