Invisible Attacker's Tree is a great tree standing two hills distant from a Cemetery, some two and a half times the girth of its neighbours. It looms large in the folklore of the district, being linked with a witch and charged with troubling the nearby Scavengers — those mischievous fae creatures that once made the tree their home. The ground about it is dark and overgrown, and breathes an air of mystery and of danger.
Invisible Attacker's Tree has been the scene of hostility amid the night investigations. Sidra al-Najjar and Ahmet Yusuf found themselves pelted with stones flung from the tree's quarter, and were hurt thereby. In answer Sidra loosed a Fire Bolt, which set the upper branches ablaze and lit the whole place, and so betrayed an invisible, spindly creature moving among the boughs. After a series of exchanges the creature was overcome and the fire put out. Thereafter Sidra and Ahmet gave the nearby Scavengers assurance that the tree was safe, at which they fell to celebrating.
